What is individual change?
We focus on helping inspire individuals to change rather than the common “push” method. How often do we say to ourselves “we should”, “they said I should” “I need to” “I have to” The key is in the language, you can pick it up immediately.
Just listen to people discussing changes they are making, if you hear any of the “should’s”, “have to’s”, or “need to’s” there is a good chance the change may not happen!
What if we started to say to ourselves “What do I really want to achieve and change”? “What do I need to do to get better results and success AND enjoy it”? “What really inspires me in life and at work AND what do I need to do to achieve it?”
The bottom line is people have to want to change and they have to be inspired to change. How many times have you tried to change by breaking old habits such as dieting, smoking or not enough exercise? We all know how hard it is to change even when we feel totally inspired. The second challenge is that change takes discipline and commitment to break through old patters and paradigms of thinking when the times get tough and we get tempted to go back to old patterns.
We believe the hidden ingredient in all of this is “being inspired” we believe that unless you are truly inspired to change then it is unlikely to happen. If you consider this in the light of most new year resolutions that are broken every year you begin to see the issue we have as human beings.
